The people behind
AntSDI is a common effort for the Antarctic community. Responsible to create AntSDI standards and specifications is SCAR's Standing Committee on Antarctic Geographic Information (SCAR SC-AGI). SC-AGI has evolved from the former Expert Group Geographic Information (EGGI).
SC-AGI operates projects that have produced a range of products serving the Antarctic community. For details on SC-AGI activities have a look at the SCAR SC-AGI section.
SCAR does not hold or produce data in its own right. The data that feeds AntSDI is very much a community effort. Data is provided by national mapping agencies, research institutions, scientific programmes, research projects, and individuals.
