In 2006, the SCAR executive requested that the Joint Committee on Antarctic Data Management develop a data and information strategy for SCAR.  Development of the strategy started following the SCAR meeting in Hobart and a draft document was recently tabled at the JCADM meeting in held in Rome (September 3-7, 2007).  The draft strategy recognizes the central role of the SC-AGI in developing the SCAR Data and Information strategy and implementing the recommendations  of the strategy.  A copy of the draft strategy is provided for review and discusson by SC-AGI members.
