SC-AGI Products in Support of Antarctic Science
In addition to co-ordinate national Antarctic mapping and GI activities and to further develop the application of GI technology for the Antarctic Spatial Data Infrastructure SC-AGI provides a range of fundamental GI products in support of Antarctic research in all disciplines.
These products are also used by the wider Antarctic community including logistics operators, high school and university teachers and students, tourists and tourist operators, and the interested public.
- The Antarctic Digital Database is the premier source for continent-wide topography
- The SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica provides all officially adopted place-names in Antarctica from the SCAR member countries
- The SCAR Map Catalogue list the Antarctic maps published by the SCAR member countries
- The SCAR King George Island GIS database provides an integrated geographic database of King George Island for use by all countries and in multi-disciplinary applications for one of the most densely populated places in Antarctica
