AntSDI implements standards of the ISO 19xxx family of geographic information standards. These are produced by ISO/TC211 of which SCAR has Class A Liaison membership status.

This allows us to actively participate in the development of the ISO 19xxx family of standards. We seek to ensure that emerging standards are comaptible with, and adequatly represent the requirements whithin the Antarctic science community.

As TC211 liaison we are able to test the fitness for use of the standards at their early draft stages and report back to the TC211 working groups where appropriate.
